Job Opportunity with State of Hawai'i

The State of Hawai'i is seeking qualified candidates for various positions. This recruitment is part of the Operation Hire Hawaii (OH-HI) project, which features an expedited hiring process to fast-track qualified applicants into job opportunities throughout Hawai'i.

Applicants will be reviewed for legal authorization to work in the US. Those who pass the review will be referred to the hiring department for consideration and an initial review. Interviews may be conducted at the departmental level, and all applicants interviewed will be notified of their selection status.

Salary for this position ranges from $6,535 to $7,952 per month (SR-26, Step D to I). Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors. This continuous recruitment may be closed at any time.

To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
• Four and one-half (4-1/2) years of professional librarian experience in one or more major functional areas of librarianship.
• One year of experience comparable to the Librarian V or two years comparable to the Librarian IV.
• One year of supervisory experience, including planning, organizing, scheduling, and directing the work of others.
• A valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
