RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As assigned, leads work activities in maintaining an orderly, sanitary, attractive and safe condition of The Queen's Medical Center - West Oahu (QMC-WO).
- Performs duties in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Performs duties of a Housekeeping Aide or Heavy Cleaner as required.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing, stooping/bending, twisting body, seeing, reaching above at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged period.
- Continuous: walking.
- Frequent: climbing stairs, squatting, finger dexterity, hearing, speaking, lifting and carrying usual weight of 40 pounds, pushing/pulling maximum 5 pounds of force, frequent gripping of an object.
- Occasional: sitting, kneeling, crawling, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying weight up to maximum weight of 50 pounds.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
- Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and materials.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- High School diploma preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- One (1) year experience as a Housekeeping Aide or Heavy Cleaner.
- Prior experience as a lead housekeeping worker preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
