Maintain earthworm colonies including food collection, feeding, and processing of vermicompost as part of the Hui Koe Aina (HKA) Earthworm Hui (a partnership of University of Hawaii faculty, staff, students, and community members to demonstrate, train, and promote food waste diversion through composting and vermicomposting and support local food systems). - Lead undergraduate student training in vermicompost operations. - Lead school tours and vermicompost demonstrations for k-12 students. - Organize and lead outreach activities and community engagement. - Coordinate vermicompost distribution and earthworm sales. - Collaborate with HKA faculty and associated students on research and educational projects to enhance the scholarly and academic benefits of HKA.
