As a Culinary Summer Associate, you'll embark on an immersive journey within the culinary world in a premiere setting and gain invaluable insight working on hands-on assignments and projects that provides you a first-hand experience in the operations within the Food Services Department. Throughout the program you'll network with bank leaders, participate in leadership and financial wellness workshops, team building activities, and take part in a community service project that reflects our commitment to giving back. This is your chance to kickstart your culinary career in a supportive, collaborative environment. Application deadline: January 31, 2025 Compensation: The hourly salary for this role is $18.00/hr. Location: Honolulu, Hawaii Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Hours may vary) Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrate and exhibit First Hawaiian Bank's core values: Caring, Character and Collaboration Applicants must be pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date between May 2026 and June 2028 . This internship is intended for students who completed advanced coursework in their major field of study. Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or related culinary program Pursuing a relevant degree program Must be available to work 40-hour work weeks between June-August and work on-site on Oahu Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 Eligible to work in the United States The ideal candidate will have: Strong interest in exploring a career in Culinary, Food Services or Hospitality Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Demonstrated leadership in a school or community organization A willingness to cooperate collaboratively and work independently on your own initiative Excellent interpersonal skills Demonstrates personal accountability and proven reliability Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication High standard of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information Check us out this brief video on our program!
