Performs various Polynesian dances in a way that reflects the Polynesian Cultural Center's standards of excellence as well as the qualities, characteristics and innocence of youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs the cultural dances and or assigned character role or roles, for designated shows and/or special events.
  • Attends practice sessions to learn new dances or to upgrade the quality of performance of?current dances and/or role(s).
  • Interacts and shakes hands with guests after the Finale while returning to the dressing room, stopping for picture taking when requested to do so.
Requirements
  • Able to learn, and subsequently perform, the various dances of the assigned culture, and some acting ability may be required depending on dancing role.
  • Good health and a full range of body movement and be capable of moving freely among the guests.
  • Look Polynesian.
  • Able to communicate in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Due to the nature of the position, performers should be 6 - 11 years of age and under 4'6" in height.
  • No prior dancing experience required.


Work Schedule:

To Be Determined (19 Hours per week)

All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI. Please note that the Polynesian Cultural Center will not provide relocation or travel expense reimbursements related to this application or hiring process.
