As an independent school we are able to structure our support system with flexibility and according to our institutional values and objectives. Starting at the level of the student, Learning Support Specialists gather data from one-on-one and small group meetings with identified students, and use the data to inform discussions with teachers, counselors, and the grade level dean(s) about the design and implementation of appropriate classroom-level supports and instructional strategies that facilitate the participation of all students in the rich learning experiences that embody a Punahou education.
