Strategic Finance Planning Analyst (Full-Time, 40 Hours, Day Shift)

Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Serves as a financial consultant and resource to The Queen's Health System (QHS) executive management staff, primarily for the analysis of the long-term strategic planning and strategic initiatives with significant financial impact to QHS.
  2. Monitors programs to evaluate adherence to established plans and goals.
  3. Provides analytics on financial plans with scenario and sensitivity analysis considering capital allocation (strategic expenditures) and healthcare reform variables.

  • Continuous: sitting, repetitive arm/hand motions.
  • Operates personal computer, calculator, and various office equipment.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, healthcare or related field.
  • Master's degree in business administration preferred.
  • CPA licensure highly desirable.

B. EXPERIENCE:

  • With Bachelor's degree, five (5) years progressive experience in Finance.
  • With Master's degree, three (3) years progressive experience in Finance.
  • Experience to demonstrate:
    • Knowledge of financial/cost accounting, business planning and development, and management information systems.
    • Ability to perform complex financial analyses and studies associated with reimbursement, profitability, business development, and treasury functions.
    • Ability to work with financial systems, including operations, cost accounting, budgeting and analysis, financial modeling and forecasting, contract management, reimbursement, and statistics, preferably in the healthcare industry.
    • Strong understanding of modeling software, including reporting and data manipulation, preferably with Kaufman Hall financial modeling.
    • Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a broad range of people to accomplish assignments and projects effectively and efficiently.
