Job Title: Tool Room Attendant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Tool Room Attendant who is knowledgeable about various trade tools and processes. This role requires someone with a detail-oriented mindset, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in computer programs such as Excel. The position involves maintaining compliance in D776 tool crib/wire rooms, managing inventory and calibration, and ensuring procedural adherence.
Responsibilities
Maintain an energetic and positive attitude, adapting to task requirements.
Receive a variety of product types using receiving reports, material move tags, packing slips, packing lists, and shipping documents.
Ensure products are properly labeled, segregated, and stored according to company processes.
Manage Level 1 weld wire, including issue/return and scrap processes, using ATICTS.
Maintain inventory levels in all D776 cribs, including ordering tooling and consumables.
Establish an ECC in D776, including training and qualifying personnel.
Be prepared to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential for shift work and emergent overtime.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years experience in a tool crib/wire room Preferred
Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and ATICTS Preferred
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Willingness to work all shifts and extended hours as required
Ability to travel for business and long-term assignments
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Vocational, Technical, and Community College education or Apprentice Programs
Experience in a Naval Shipyard environment
Experience in warehousing/inventory management
ECC experience, including tool inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair
Military/Navy logistical experience

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
