Job Title: Tool Room Attendant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Tool Room Attendant who is knowledgeable about various trade tools and processes. This role requires someone with a detail-oriented mindset, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in computer programs such as Excel. The position involves maintaining compliance in D776 tool crib/wire rooms, managing inventory and calibration, and ensuring procedural adherence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an energetic and positive attitude, adapting to task requirements.

• Receive a variety of product types using receiving reports, material move tags, packing slips, packing lists, and shipping documents.

• Ensure products are properly labeled, segregated, and stored according to company processes.

• Manage Level 1 weld wire, including issue/return and scrap processes, using ATICTS.

• Maintain inventory levels in all D776 cribs, including ordering tooling and consumables.

• Establish an ECC in D776, including training and qualifying personnel.

• Be prepared to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential for shift work and emergent overtime.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED

• 5+ years experience in a tool crib/wire room Preferred

• Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and ATICTS Preferred

• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

• Willingness to work all shifts and extended hours as required

• Ability to travel for business and long-term assignments

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Vocational, Technical, and Community College education or Apprentice Programs

• Experience in a Naval Shipyard environment

• Experience in warehousing/inventory management

• ECC experience, including tool inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair

• Military/Navy logistical experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
