Human Resources Specialist III & IV – Oahu (OHHI)

Recruitment Number: OHHI-25154. Location: Downtown, Department of Health, State of Hawaiʻi.

Salary

• Level III – $4,961 – $6,043 per month (Step D to I)
• Level IV – $5,369 – $6,535 per month (Step D to I)

Duties Summary

Perform moderately difficult work in one or more functional areas of human resources management: classification and pay; recruitment, examination, and placement; training and employee management; human resources administration services; and labor relations. Provide human resources assignments that encompass complex problems and management advisory service.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Legal Authorization to Work: U.S. citizenship, national, or permanent resident alien or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the U.S.
• Basic Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
• Specialized Experience: For Level III – 1½ years; for Level IV – 2½ years of professional experience in HR functions (recruitment, placement, examination, classification, pay or wage administration, employee relations, development, program development, labor relations, and HR research).
• Substitutions Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements apply.
