Position Function

Responsible for managing relationships and generating new mortgage loans from Realtors, referral partners, prospective homebuyers and borrowers. Oversee a team of HomeLoan Consultants.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Individually originate and close a minimum of $1,000,000 per month in residential mortgage loans. Interview applicants to determine their ability to qualify for a mortgage loan and analyze financial situations to qualify for the correct loan amount and program.
  • Represent Home Loans Division by managing relationships with borrowers, Realtors, developers, and referral partners who refer borrowers to mortgage financing opportunities.
  • Provide timely support to team members with loan training, analysis, business development, and troubleshooting to ensure regulatory compliance and policy adherence.
  • Assist in recruiting and managing new team members as positions open or as the team expands.
  • Input customer information into the loan origination system and other systems as required.
  • Make recommendations regarding credit decisions for residential mortgages to underwriting representatives or wholesale funding sources.
  • Maintain knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and bank policies and procedures affecting the Home Loans Division.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
  • 6+ years of direct sales experience within the mortgage industry required.
  • 5+ years of supervisory or 3+ years of management experience required.
  • Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) required prior to performing any duties of a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Perform light physical work and move or lift items up to 20 pounds.
  • Operate standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer, and other electronic devices and applications.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers and listen sufficiently to engage in daily discussions.
  • Read and understand bank-related documents.
  • Work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time and adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
