Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a team in Honolulu. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate customer accounts, ensuring timely billing and payments, and delivering exceptional service. This position requires a strong background in accounts receivable processes and excellent analytical skills to resolve discrepancies efficiently. Responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for customers regarding account status and accuracy, generating invoices and statements for membership dues and additional services, preparing and distributing past-due notices, processing customer payments and posting daily online credit card transactions, analyzing accounts to identify discrepancies, preparing adjustments and resolving issues promptly, maintaining an organized filing system for invoices and statements to support research and customer inquiries, making courtesy calls to customers to encourage timely payments and resolve concerns, preparing refund requests for dues and other services as applicable, collaborating closely with finance staff and other departments to ensure seamless operations, and performing other duties as assigned to support the team.

Requirements include an associate degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent relevant experience, proven ability to interpret and analyze accounting information to address customer inquiries, strong customer service and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, minimum of three years of experience in a similar role preferred, familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP, capability to lift up to 20 pounds, and experience with account reconciliation, billing, cash applications, and collections.
