Data Analyst – Secret Clearance

Parsons School of Design – The New School is seeking a Data Analyst with Secret clearance to support US INDOPACOM missions in Camp Smith, HI.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and meet objectives.
• Perform data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support strategic initiatives.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data, assess value, and produce use cases for command staff.
• Explain complex technical information in an accessible manner to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Educate and mentor customers on effective data use and interpretation.
• Develop, automate, and improve data processing and analysis workflows.
• Apply programming in Python, R, or SQL and employ machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, scikit‑learn, PyTorch) where appropriate.
• Create visualizations using matplotlib, and handle big data technologies such as Pandas and Spark.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant experience with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
• Active DoD Secret clearance (US citizenship required).
• Experience working in a multi‑skill team collaborating on data automation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, organizational and planning skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Familiarity with machine learning libraries and data visualization tools.

Location: Camp Smith, HI

Salary: $86,700.00 – $151,700.00
