Position Summary

CVS Health is offering a unique opportunity to be part of an extremely talented team within CVS Specialty as a Benefits Verification Representative. This position requires strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and a highly focused, performance‑driven individual with a background in pharmacy or the healthcare field. You will need to understand insurance carriers and concepts including drug cards, major medical benefits, and per diem coverage, as well as knowledge of government and patient assistance programs. Your primary responsibilities include verifying insurance coverage for new and existing patients and processing patient prescription orders in a timely manner, while demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals and insurance carriers.

This is a full‑time position. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, with 40 hours weekly. No weekends, limited holidays, and covered parking on‑site. The role is fully remote from Hawaii.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of experience with medical insurance, benefits verification, medical billing, or patient/healthcare customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related healthcare field.
  • Pharmacy experience (PBM, Specialty, etc.).
  • Previous experience working with Prior Authorizations.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third‑party vendors.
  • Healthcare‑related certifications and/or licensure.

Education

  • Verifiable high school diploma or GED is required.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Anticipated weekly hours: 40
  • Time type: Full time
  • Pay range: $17.00 – $34.15 per hour (base). Eligible for bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program.
