Job Title: Youth Engagement Specialist (Lydia House)

Reports to: Engagement Center Lead. Full-time. Entry-level. Department: Lydia House Programs. Location: Liliʻuokalani Trust, Honolulu, HI.

Job Purpose

Youth Engagement Specialist (YES) assists with programming activities and events at Lydia House, providing support to beneficiaries under supervision of the Engagement Center Lead and operations teams.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead youth engagement activities to support youth development.
• Facilitate individual and group sessions with collaboration.
• Maintain safe and positive environment; prepare center for daily operations.
• Support youth access to services; navigate youth through services.
• Provide assistance requested by Leads; accompany youth to outside appointments.
• Promote youth voices; bridge feedback to LH team.
• Support administrative needs of staff.
• Participate in data collection, reporting, and staff meetings.
• Serve on internal and external committees to support outcomes.

Other Duties

• Accept new assignments, help team members, learn new skills, improve organization results.
• Attend relevant trainings and workshops.
• Travel may be required to other Hawaiian Islands or locations for training.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in social services or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Capacity to perform frontline work in varied settings (schools, public spaces, distorted communities).
