Provide the highest quality safety support for the Construction Manager and all subcontractors on a specific construction project. Develop and implement an Emergency Response plan; conduct job site safety orientations and project safety meetings; ensure compliance with contractual documents and regulatory requirements.

Work with subcontractors to reduce injuries and increase productivity through established safety methods and interface with the owner over safety issues. Conduct and review various Pre‑Task Analysis and Activity Hazard Analysis plans for construction activities.

Responsibilities
- Provide site‑specific safety orientation to all trades and subcontractors working on the project.
- Assist project and department management personnel to ensure compliance with all safety, accident and fire programs, procedures and policies.
- Thoroughly investigate all incidents, accidents and near misses that occur on the project and prepare written reports of findings.
- Represent the company in all OSHA compliance inspections.
- Perform periodic jobsite inspections and prepare observation reports. Complete US Army Corps and/or Walbridge checklists and Leading Indicator Observation Reports.
- Review all safety documentation and reports for accuracy and completeness; ensure all required documents are forwarded to federal and state agencies per regulations and to the company insurance carrier per their requirements.
- Organize and implement the site safety recognition programs.
- Manage and implement the site Drug‑Free Workplace Program, including post‑accident alcohol and drug testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Occupational Health & Safety preferred) or 5+ years of construction experience with a high school diploma.
- Minimum of two years of construction safety field experience.
- OSHA 10‑ and 30‑hour certification strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the 1926 OSHA Regulations.
- Working knowledge of how to develop, implement and audit Pre‑Task Analysis for contractors and subcontractors.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel.
