Recruitment Number 25-0371 – The immediate vacancy is with the Department of Land & Industrial Relations in Downtown. This recruitment may be closed at any time.

Positions and Compensation

  • Journeyworker – $5,369 to $7,644 per month (SR-22, Step D to M).
  • Senior Specialist / Subject Matter Expert – $6,043 to $8,601 per month (SR 24, Step D to M).
  • Network Analyst – Leads network projects, develops specifications, performs capacity planning and network growth recommendations.

Responsibilities

Network Analyst – Leads network projects by recommending solutions to network strategy and security issues, develops detailed network specifications, performs network analysis and capacity planning, develops and recommends approaches to network growth and enhancements, develops processes and procedures for network operations, provides network performance monitoring and analysis, supports installation and maintenance of server hardware and software, assists in maintaining all data center equipment.

Journeyworker – Performs complex professional work exercising independent judgment and discretion, applies broad concepts and expertise, analyzes factors to formulate feasible solutions, and performs work ranging from simple to highly complex assignments, spending majority of time on complex work.

Senior Specialist / Subject Matter Expert – Provides advanced level work with comprehensive knowledge, serves as project or team leader, initiates and completes highly complex projects, directs lower‑level specialists, offers expert advisory guidance, resolves novel and complex situations requiring new techniques or standards.

Specialty Area

Networking Services – Manages, administers, and develops standards for LAN, WAN, or wireless networks, includes security, firewall installation, maintenance, intrusion detection, software upgrades, monitoring, licensing, storage management, and telecommunication network design.

Legal Authorization To Work

General Experience / Education

  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative, professional, or analytical work experience that provided the competencies described below; or
  • Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education.

Specialized Experience

Two to four years of professional work experience in the Networking Services Specialty Area; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
