This position heads the Field Consultant Unit of the Bridge Design Section, Design Branch, Highways Division, Department of Transportation. Duties and responsibilities include conducting preliminary location, type and cost studies; preparing, supervising and approving design computations, plan specifications and estimates for bridges, separation structures, retaining walls, pedestrian facilities, tunnels, culverts, small buildings and other structures; developing, preparing, reviewing and approving construction and maintenance plans, specifications, proposals, estimate details and computations for both State designed and consultant designed projects; and performing other related duties as assigned.
