Waikiki Health is seeking a full-time Accountant I.
Pay rate for this role is $56,100 - $60,000 depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (eight-hour work days with unpaid one-hour lunch break) with variable/flexible hours depending on project needs and with prior supervisor approval. Overtime may be required.

Summary of position: Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accountant I will assist in the Accounting Department to reconciling the daily deposit transmittals, help facilitate the completion of monthly closing and projects in a timely manner.
Qualifications and abilities- Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business degree required. A combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Some clerical work experience required.
- The ability to delegate and train the Accounting Clerk in specific duties
- Qualifications
- An understanding of accounting practice policies and procedures.
General Duties include but are not limited to- Mail checks for both other businesses and employees
- Daily deposits of cash and paper checks
- Keep a thorough record of business transactions including but not limited to Grants into the company's general ledger system
- Assist senior accounting personnel with any tasks conducted within the accounting department, or any tasks that require accounting personnel to take part
- Prepare schedules and checklists to assist senior accounting staff to review closing activity
- Other duties as assigned
