Information Technology (IT) implements, supports and maintains all systems at Hawai‘i Pacific Health facilities. The department encompasses the people, records and activities that process the data and information in the organization. The team provides support to users, and acts as the key liaison between the business community and vendors. It also codes, defines criteria, performs testing and debugging, and maintains programs in order to meet the informational needs of Hawai‘i Pacific Health's numerous facilities and administrative offices.
Under the general direction of the Director of Information Technology or designee, this role provides application support to user Departments. Responsibilities include Tier 2 support of applications and acting as the key liaison between the business community, vendors, and the Information Systems (IS) Department. The role translates customers' high‑level requirements into functional specifications for the IS Department, manages changes to such specifications, and uses a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers. The position gathers, compiles, and synthesizes information regarding technology processes and/or systems, writes code, defines criteria, performs testing, debugging, and documents and maintains programs. The incumbent researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and evaluates potential applications to the business.
