Salary: $6,043 to $7,351 per month (SR-24, Step D to I). Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a major in a natural resources field, such as:
Specialized Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience involving any of the following:
At least one (1) year of the Specialized Experience must have been comparable in scope and complexity to the class NRMS III in the State service.
The immediate vacancy requires the ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds assisted by another person and/or use of equipment (e.g., hoisting equipment, hand truck).
*Supervisory Aptitude: For some positions in the Natural Resources Management Specialist series, applicants must possess supervisory aptitude.
