Supervises the day-to-day operations, and coordination and integration of services, programs, and activities of the Sterile Processing and Surgical Inventory Management Ensures compliance with infection control standards, hospital policies, and industry regulations.
Provides leadership, training, and support to Sterile Processing staff and other staff while ensuring timely and efficient processing, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Ensures operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the policies and procedures of The Queen's Health Systems (QHS).
Serves as the manager of the department/unit in the absence of the Manager as assigned.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) by The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required.
C. EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years experience in sterile processing and/or surgical inventory/instrument management.
