Entry Level Accountant Opportunity

We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will assist with essential accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Responsibilities:

  • Review and record invoices in the company database, ensuring alignment with contracts, purchase orders, and other relevant documents.
  • Obtain and register W-9 forms from new vendors and verify proper invoice approvals from relevant office authorities.
  • Process and audit employee expense reports, ensuring bank receipts are signed and distributed appropriately.
  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding accounts payable and payment statuses.
  • Maintain accurate records of overseas employee expenses, including furniture costs, allowances, and advances, using Excel.
  • Manage employee advances, oversee payment processes, and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Coordinate office operations, such as ordering supplies, troubleshooting IT issues, and addressing administrative needs.
  • Assign and oversee tasks for the receptionist, including supply management, record filing, and monitoring expense reports.
  • Track and update vacation schedules for employees across all branch offices.
  • Handle company credit card transactions, allocating costs to appropriate offices and distributing statements as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with accounting software systems, including Dynamics NAV and ERP solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of account coding and reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable and general accounting functions.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat for document management.
  • Ability to analyze and record accounting entries with precision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
