Perform and provide the results of in-depth research and analysis of supply orders' validity and compliance with regulations.
Perform supply transactions such as data entry, report generation and retrieval, and in-depth research.
Perform exhaustive research that includes, but is not limited to, identification of alternate available items, vendors, sources of supply, methods of procurement, or causative analysis of major discrepancies.
Initiate, prepare, edit, and process numerous standard and nonstandard requisitions through numerous means of procurement to include Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures, and government purchase card.
Research local and federal regulations to ensure strict compliance in the procurement of hazardous materials.
Contact customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others regarding price changes, special handling, to obtain material status information, follow-up on urgently required items, and/or expedite delivery of material to work sites.

Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supply Technician, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.
B. Education Substitution: Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
C. Combination: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for grade levels GS-05.
