Environmental Science International, Inc. (ESI) has completed hundreds of environmental projects across the state of Hawaii and around the Pacific Rim over the past 24 years. ESI provides support under major state and federal environmental laws, utilizing our vast experience and environmental management systems for top class support to out clients. Our projects cover a range of site issues, including soil and groundwater investigations, regulatory compliance inspections, hazardous material assessments, and site remediation and long-term monitoring.

Role Description

This is a contract role for an Environmental Scientist located in Kailua, HI. The Environmental Scientist will be responsible for conducting fieldwork, environmental consulting, and working on construction project as lead QEP. Day-to-day tasks will include preparing sampling supplies, taking notes, directing soil removal and management, collecting soil samples for lab analysis plans, and preparing daily reports and site progress assessments, as well as regulatory compliance inspections and environmental documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Field Work and handling brownfield or haz mat projects
• Knowledge of natural science and State and Federal regulations
• Background in Environmental Consulting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with regulatory compliance inspections and environmental management systems is a plus
