Bishop & Company is seeking a Financial Controller on behalf of our hospitality client in Honolulu. What You'll Do

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of month-end and year-end reporting.
• Prepare and coordinate forecasts, budgets, and reforecasts for ownership and company stakeholders.
• Review and submit financial reports according to established calendars.
• Provide guidance and supervision to accounting staff, including training and development.
• Maintain accurate general ledger journals, reconciliations, and treasury reports.
• Partner with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and implement audit recommendations.
• Safeguard internal controls and uphold company policies across hotel operations.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, ideally in hospitality or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to thrive in a cyclical industry environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
• Salary Range: $115,000 to $130,000 bonus eligible - commensurate with experience, budget approved.
