Overview

Investment Analyst role at Kamehameha Schools. The Investment Management Group (IMG) seeks an aspiring investor to join our team in Honolulu or San Francisco.

Job Summary

Provide analytical support on a diversified global portfolio of marketable and private equities, fixed income, real assets, and absolute return strategies. Work with the investment team to conduct research, build financial models, and capture information from external managers and markets. Generate reports on portfolio and investment manager performance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct and deliver timely and accurate quantitative and qualitative analysis.


• Deliver periodic and ad-hoc reports to investment leadership.


• Manage work across multiple asset classes and projects while meeting deadlines.


• Participate in external manager and reference meetings and capture notes.


• Contribute questions and insight in meetings.


• Form high quality external industry relationships.


• Assist in training of new members to the analyst team.

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.


• Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial services, consulting, or related setting.


• Strong quantitative and modeling skills.


• Attention to detail.


• Good interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently and in a team across multiple projects.


• Demonstrated interest in investing.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Frequently sit and perform desk-based computer tasks; ability to grasp light manipulation, talk or hear.


• Occasionally stand or walk; write by hand; lift/carry/push/pull objects up to 10 pounds.


• Rarely twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, reach, or grasp forcefully.

Working Conditions

• Frequent travel to various locations, including international travel.


• Office environment and potential work in non-standard workplaces.


• Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with possible evenings and weekends as needed.

Compensation and Location

The base salary for this full-time position at start is $130,000 and is eligible for the Investment Management Group Incentive Compensation plan. Employment is at-will. Start anticipated in summer 2026.
