Overview

Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer at Jacobs. This role involves delivering innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients, coordinating with engineers and designers, and ensuring quality and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems
• Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing, development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements
• Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water systems)
• Coordination with other disciplines

Contribute to project schedules and technical quality while working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet client needs. Provide support to the team and build toward project success.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years of experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities
• Proficiency in Revit
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely

Ideally, additional experience includes software such as AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D, and experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems.

Base pay and benefits

The base pay range is $102,900.00/yr – $135,075.00/yr. Jacobs states that pay is based on skills and experience and may vary by location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), stock purchase option, and potential additional rewards.
