Job Title: Bilingual Health Aide (BHA)
Job Type: Exempt, non-civil service, full-time, temporary appointment.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma, some college preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Prior experience and training in health education, social work, nursing, public health, and allied health professions desirable.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, ETC.: Valid State of Hawaii Drivers License Class 3, required. Must be bilingual and fluent in one of the following languages: Filipino (Ilocano, Tagalog, Visayan), Samoan, Hawaiian, Korean, Chinese, Marshallese, Chuukese, Vietnamese, or other languages as determined by the Department of Health.
LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK REQUIREMENT: The State of Hawaii requires that all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
