Contracts Manager

Hawai'i Pacific Health is a not-for-profit health care network with over 70 locations statewide including medical centers, clinics, physicians and other caregivers serving Hawai'i and the Pacific Region with high quality, compassionate care. Its four medical centers - Kapi'olani, Pali Momi, Straub and Wilcox - specialize in innovative programs in women's health, pediatric care, cardiovascular services, cancer care, bone and joint services and more. The Contracts and Reimbursement team works with Business Services, Admitting, Finance, Case Management, Clinical Departments and payors to facilitate recovery of payor accounts and enhance payor relations. These dedicated professionals negotiate and maintain contracts with third party payors, review and process contract documents, transfer payor terms and conditions into the appropriate reimbursement system, and conduct analysis and reporting on payor activity. If you are an experienced contracts negotiator and manager, you can help to uphold Hawai'i Pacific Health's excellence in operational and financial management. As the Contracts Manager, you will negotiate and maintain contracts with third party payors; work with a variety of commercial and public payors to develop strong collaborative relationships; and communicate with various internal departments to ensure effective negotiations and operationalizing of payor contracts. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Three (3) years experience in health care accounting, finance, or contracting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with medical coding including DRGs, ICD9 codes and HCPCS codes.
• Experience with analysis and negotiation of health plan and government programs for hospitals, physicians or other health care providers.
• Knowledge of Accountable Care Organization concepts, which includes managing the quality and cost of health care services for defined patient populations.
