Controller Opportunity

Bishop & Company is partnering with a leading Hawaii-based retail client to identify a Controller to join their leadership team in Honolulu. What Youll Do

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls.
• Lead and develop accounting staff across AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
• Partner with executives and cross-functional teams to guide growth initiatives and optimize performance.
• Support audits, safeguard assets, and provide solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 68 years of leadership experience in accounting/finance, ideally in multi-unit, retail, or hospitality industries.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and ERP/accounting systems (Oracle experience a plus).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and time management abilities.
• CPA preferred.

The Details

• Compensation: Salary Range: $150,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience, budget approved.
• Schedule: Full-time, MondayFriday, in office
• Travel: May include local and neighbor island travel.
