Network Technician

TEKsystems Team supports the United States Navy in providing reliable and secure information services to shore-based networks. The role involves:

• Installation and upgrading of network devices and components, including switches, routers, and network monitoring devices.
• Operational support and configuration of network devices such as servers, routers, switches, associated software tools, and cabling in a large LAN/MAN/BAN/WAN environment.
• Project coordination to manage maintenance activities and network outages.
• Troubleshooting network-related issues and resolving outages.
• Knowledge of network protocols like OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP is a plus.
• Experience with wireless technologies, VPNs, IPS, and WAN Accelerators is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a Network Technician.
• CCNA certification within 6 months.
• Secret Security Clearance (potential upgrade to Top Secret).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Passion for excellence and continual improvement.
