Qualifications

• A doctorate in Public Health or related field is required (ABD near completion considered). Specializing in Epidemiology, Health Promotion, or Healthy Behaviors.
• Foreign equivalent degree from a nationally accredited institution accepted.
• BYU–Hawaii prefers qualified members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints in good standing.
• Members must hold a current temple recommend and clearance from Ecclesiastical Clearance Office.

Responsibilities

• Teaching: 30 semester credit hours per year over three semesters in courses such as Epidemiology, Health Marketing & Communication, Health & Human Behavior, Community Nutrition, Health Topics and Careers in Asia & Oceania, Health Promotion.
• Scholarship, creative endeavor, ongoing professional development, and university service required.
• Commit fully to BYU‑Hawaii mission and learning framework.

Benefits

• Salary range: $117K-127K.
• Housing stipend and relocation expense package.
• Annually renewable contract eligible for Continuing Faculty Status (tenure‑track).
• Standard BYU‑Hawaii benefits package for full‑time employees.
