KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Key Personnel and Event Security Services to join our Enterprise Security Services Organization. This is a remote opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Apply authoritative command of Key Personnel & Event Security Services strategy and operations to shape strategic direction and guide coordinated, tactical operations for the firm as a component of Firm Security Services
  • Serve as a subject matter and most senior functional knowledge expert for Key Personnel & Event Security Services; drive and manage high profile and high impact priority projects and initiatives to mitigate security risks and concerns within the firm; adjudicate security situations as they arise and make sound decisions that balance security risks with other business priorities
  • Drive innovation across Key Personnel & Event Security Services by continuously understanding emerging threats and risks to firm security capabilities and altering operational or strategic programs as needed to address these risks
  • Act as a trusted subject matter expert, collaborating with staff and most senior executive leaders across the firm to keep alignment on strategies; promote and foster collaboration between security and other parts of firm business; key stakeholders may include Office of the Chair, KPMG Board of Directors support, Event & Meetings, Marketing & Sponsorships, Talent & Culture, Office of General Counsel, Ethics and Compliance, Risk Management, and other Firm leadership
  • Develop appropriate metrics to show progress against key initiatives; prepare assessments and periodic reports for executive management, including the management committee of the firm and the Board of Directors
  • Provide overall accountability for a team, including responsibility for the group's organization, recruiting, staff development; assume people management responsibility for multiple mid-level and/or junior-level professionals internally or via mastery of supplier relationship managed short or long term third party sourced models; develop and execute resource plans for personnel and insider risk security services, ensuring efficient allocation and maximum utilization of resources across the teams
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum fifteen years of recent progressive experience in personnel/executive protection, event security, investigations, security operations, supplier relationship management, protective intelligence, and experience leading large-scale, enterprise programs
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
  • Experience operating in a mature, complex environment and collaborating with external stakeholders; capacity to ensure execution of strategic initiatives for the organization with the ability to address emerging opportunities and how organization should be organized/staffed to realize them
  • Ability to make decisions of high complexity and often utmost confidentiality, often autonomously and provide guidance and strategic advice to executive level management
  • Track record of programmatic success, delivering large-scale projects within schedule and resource constraints; solid experience in recruiting, developing, and managing talent
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; capability to direct, motivate and empower others to work towards the organization's goals, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across multiple functions
