Human Resources Specialist IV: $5,369 to $6,535 per month (SR-22, Step D to I)
Human Resources Specialist V: $6,043 to $7,351 per month (SR-24, Step D to I)
Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.
The positions are located in the Department of Public Safety, Inspections and Investigations Office, Pre-Disciplinary Hearings Staff.
Level IV: Conducting pre-disciplinary hearings on alleged employee misconduct; reviewing investigation reports; analyzing evidence objectively; interpreting and applying HR laws and rules, collective bargaining agreements, and departmental standards of conduct, policies, and procedures; and preparing formal, written recommendations on disciplinary actions.
Level V: Conducting pre-disciplinary hearings for the department which includes reviewing investigation reports to identify issues; scheduling and conducting pre-disciplinary hearings on alleged employee misconduct; analyzing evidence objectively; interpreting and applying personnel laws and rules; collective bargaining agreements, and departmental standards of conduct, policies and procedures; preparing formal written recommendations to affirm, modify or reverse program disciplinary recommendations and conducting training and providing advisory services to supervisors, administrators, and investigators on handling disciplinary matters.
