Location: Hawaii (approximately 2 years with potential training in Aurora, CO). Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.
As an FSR, this position will be responsible for supporting the program. The ideal candidate would have the training, skills, knowledge, and capabilities of an Army 35T30 (Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator), or a 353T (Intelligence Systems Maintenance & Integration Technician).
Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking to add a Principal Electronics Engineer - Field Service Engineer (FSE)/Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer - Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join our team. This position may be filled at Principal or Sr. Principal level.
Preferred candidate location is Hawaii; this role may require travel and occasional training at other sites.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software components, including:
- Hardware: Antennas; rack-mount servers; client workstations; routers and switches; associated power and communications cables
- Software & Operating Systems: VMware (including ESXi, vSAN); Windows Server 2019; Red Hat Enterprise Linux; Windows 11; Cisco IOS; Active Directory and DNS; Kubernetes and container-based infrastructure
- Coordinate for and support external interface integration, connection to network points of presence, and checkout/confirmation testing efforts
- Apply operating system and software patches and updates on all prototype software and operating systems
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays as required; may include travel to training sites
- Create discrepancy reports (DRs) and provide weekly status reports to the factory in Aurora, CO
Basic Qualifications
- Principal: 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in STEM; 3+ years with a Master's in STEM; or 1+ year with a PhD in STEM
- Sr. Principal: 8+ years with a Bachelor's in STEM; 6+ years with a Master's in STEM; 4+ years with a PhD in STEM
- Active TS/SCI DoD security clearance at time of application, with eligibility/willingness for counterintelligence polygraph if required
- DoD 8570.1-M at IAT II or IAT III level
- Security+ and continuing education: CCNA Security, GSEC, and SSCP or ability to obtain Security+ within 3 months of hire
- At least 40 hours of documented training in two or more of VMware, Data Center Virtualization, Windows Server, Linux, Cisco Networks
- Familiarity with configuration of encryption devices
- Experience with installation of containerized software systems using Docker and Kubernetes
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years operational experience supporting and maintaining RF antennas in a multi-INT environment (including imagery/GEOINT)
- VMware VCP-DCV (version 6 or newer) and at least one of: MCSA Windows Server 2012/2016, Linux+ / LPIC-1 / Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator, CCNA
Salary
Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00
The above salary ranges are general guidelines. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market conditions when making offers. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply where eligible.
