M-FThe IT Network Manager is a dynamic and strategic leader responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network and IT infrastructure. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership to ensure network reliability, security, and performance across LAN, WAN, wireless, cloud environments, co-location data centers, and enterprise IT assets. The Network Manager will lead a small team, including one direct report, while collaborating with other IT professionals to optimize network performance, security, and cloud integration. This role is also accountable for ensuring the optimal operation of network hardware, software, and communication systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for network operations, addressing escalated issues and coordinating with IT leadership to resolve complex problems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Lead capacity planning initiatives to ensure network scalability and performance under growing demand.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions to network services.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance network performance, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement robust security measures and monitor network integrity.
• Support IT governance and compliance efforts by integrating best practices into network operations.
• Facilitate cross-departmental communication to align network strategies with broader IT and business goals.
Leadership and Team Management:
• Direct and mentor a small team, promoting skill development and continuous learning.
• Coordinate troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem resolution.
• Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging innovation and teamwork.
• Oversee training initiatives to ensure staff proficiency in network management, cloud technologies, and security.
• Manage performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7-10 years of experience in network engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership or senior/SME role within a large healthcare or enterprise environment.
• Strong expertise in designing, building, managing, maintaining, and implementing multi-site enterprise network architecture.
• Proficiency in network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPLS) and cloud networking principles.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies.
• Experience with IT infrastructure management, including LAN, WAN, wireless, cloud, and data centers.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee IT governance, compliance, and network security practices.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) and IT asset management.
• Certifications preferred: CCNP, CCIE, NSE7 .
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record of managing network operations in a healthcare or large enterprise setting.
