The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is seeking a Supervising Chemical Treatment Worker to oversee the application of a wide range of horticultural chemicals, fertilizers, and soil amendments, and the maintenance and upkeep of athletic fields, asphalt parking lots, walkways, and the pressure washing of park facilities. What You'll Do. Chemical Application, Turf Care & Pest Control Supervise and coordinate turf spraying, fertilizing, and aeration using pesticides, fertilizers, and soil amendments; determine application rates and material needs; oversee equipment such as tractors, sprayers, spreaders, aerators, and top dressers; and apply pesticides to control pests including termites, cockroaches, ants, rodents, bees, and wasps.
