Teach 24 semester credits per academic year (typically 3 courses with 1 course release for service and research activities per semester), including lecture and lab courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and/or biochemistry. Develop and deliver high-quality, instruction to a multicultural student population, including first-generation college students and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. Participate in curriculum development, academic advising, and mentoring of undergraduate students. Engage in scholarly activities, which may include discipline-based education research with undergraduates, or community-engaged scholarship. Contribute to service at the division, campus, and/or system level, including committee participation and program assessment. Collaborate with faculty and staff in interdisciplinary and cross-campus initiatives.
