Clearance Requirement

Applicants must undergo a security investigation and meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance is required.

License/Certification Requirements

• Certified/licensed in pipefitting, steam fitting, or sprinkler systems with a valid journeyman plumber's license preferred.
• Master's Plumber's license issued by Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission is preferred.
• Backflow certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, modify, and repair plumbing systems.
• Maintain and upgrade plumbing equipment and piping.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on plumbing-related equipment.
• Report to the Shift Operating Engineer.
• Install and repair plumbing equipment such as water heaters, toilets, sinks, etc.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years relevant experience and a High School diploma or GED.
• Must meet security clearance requirements, including U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Desired Qualifications

• Licensed in pipefitting, steam fitting, or sprinkler systems; journeyman license preferred.
• Master's Plumber's license from Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission preferred.
• Backflow certification preferred.

Physical and Work Environment Abilities

• Lift/move objects up to 50 pounds, demonstrate physical strength and stamina.
• Work at heights up to 60 feet, climb ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
• Perform routine physical tasks including walking, climbing, reaching, and operating equipment.
• Good vision (corrected), color vision, hearing, and communication skills.
• Recognize potential problems and apply general rules to solve or understand issues.

Pay Range

USD $45.00 - USD $50.00 per hour.
