Records and Identification DivisionComputer Operator I Contract (SR-13)
General Summary:
The Computer Operator I is under the direct supervision of the Video Management Unit (VMU) Sergeant and must adhere to the State and City laws and ordinances, departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures. This position performs processing and technical duties pertaining to the VMU's operations. Must have knowledge of computer functions and capabilities.
- Prepare and share daily BWC videos with the Prosecutors Office
- Fulfill internal (HPD) and external (Public and Outside Agencies) requests for HPD managed videos, including, ACAMS and BWC footage, in the forms of HPD and public requests, preservation letters, and subpoenas.
- Redactions of ACAMS and BWC footage as necessary to meet legal requirements necessary to fulfill requests.
- Provide information and assistance to HPD personnel and Prosecutor Office regarding BWC related issues (equipment, evidence.com, and uploading issues, etc.).
- Receive, inventory, and issue equipment and facilitate issuance to respective elements.
Minimum Qualification Requirements Training and Experience:
A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school and two years of experience in an office environment which demonstrated effective use of personal computers, peripheral equipment, and applications such as word processing and electronic mail.
License Requirement: State of Hawaii Driver's License (Type 3)
