Description:

Aloha United Way is seeking an experienced and passionate fundraising professional to lead our Major Gifts and Planned Giving efforts. This position is responsible for driving the strategic growth of three cornerstone programs: the Tocqueville Society (gifts of $10,000+ annually), the Leadership Giving Program ($1,000+ annually), and the ?Anuenue Legacy Society (planned giving). This role is ideal for someone who is both a relationship builder and a strategic thinker, with a heart for community and a mind for results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and stewardship of the Tocqueville Society, including Fund-Raising, recognition strategies, and personalized engagement.
  • Provide timely, meaningful, and high-touch communications to ensure a premier philanthropic experience for each major donor.
  • Design and implement a sustainable strategy for engaging and upgrading leadership of donors at the $1,000+ level.
  • Partner with workplace giving and corporate teams to cultivate emerging philanthropic leaders through AUW's annual campaigns and events.
  • Strengthen AUW's planned giving program by educating internal stakeholders and external audiences on legacy giving options.
  • Cultivate relationships with prospective legacy donors and professional advisors to grow the legacy pipeline.
  • Develop donor-centric communications, event experiences, and stewardship tools that inspire increased giving and long-term commitment.
  • Maintain accurate donor data and reports in AUW's CRM system to track pipeline progress, pledges, and outcomes.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide timely reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate across departments to support organizational fundraising strategies and ensure donor alignment with program priorities.
  • Represent AUW at donor events, community functions, and workplace campaigns as needed.
  • Participate in special projects, committees, and events to support AUW's mission and strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful fundraising experience in major gifts, planned giving, or nonprofit development.
  • Experience in Hawai?i's philanthropic community and/or corporate sector is strongly preferred.
  • CFRE certification preferred or willingness to attain.
  • Skills & Attributes
  • Deep understanding of relationship-based fundraising strategies, donor journeys, and major/planned gift cultivation.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion, professionalism, and urgency.
  • Other Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be located in Hawai?i.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance are required.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.
