What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
2. Provide opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
3. Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions and examinations before trial
4. Defend assigned legal matters by trial or dispositive hearing
5. Document files clearly and concisely for various stakeholders

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. 2-6+ years of litigation experience in insurance, defense, or personal injury
2. Juris Doctor degree required
3. Admission to the Texas Bar required
4. Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in Texas
5. Ability to travel as required for trials, hearings, and meetings

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Experience in civil litigation
2. Background in insurance defense-related litigation
3. Strong communication skills in person, via telephone, and in written correspondence
