SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Chief People Officer (CPO) is responsible for overseeing and managing CFS's Human Resource Department and the development and execution of all people-related strategies. The role includes focusing on talent acquisition and retention, employee engagement and wellness, performance management, benefit selection and management and other strategies to enhance the overall employee experience. The Chief People Officer is critical to ensuring the organization's culture aligns with its mission. In addition, the Chief People Officer will:
Provide assistance and consultation to the President & CEO and staff regarding staff/human resource matters as well as supervisory and technical support to HR staff,
Recommend strategic direction and develop the operating strategies for human resources/ and cultural practices of the organization, consistent with CFS's strategic plan, mission and values.
Initiate and implement systems responsive to the changing needs of CFS,
Develop reporting and infrastructure to monitor and manage progress towards key HR initiatives,
Oversees and provide strategic and operational leadership for the Human Resource and Wellness Departments, and
Participate as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type
Other (Specify): Master's degree preferred in human resources, business administration, or a related field such as organizational development, psychology or sociology.
EXPERIENCE
Over six years
Other (Specify): Demonstrated ever-increasing scope and responsibility including leadership of a substantial knowledge base in HR, org. health, problem solving and strategic thinking. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Strong leadership and team building skills.
Strong interpersonal, teaching, communication and computer skills.
Knowledge of non-profit corporations.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and organizational health.
Experience in business plan development preferred
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license and a clear driver's abstract and continued employment may be contingent on maintaining a clear driver's abstract
The nature of this position requires the incumbent to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions
