Salary for the Department of Planning and Permitting: $6,667 - $7,417 per month (SR-24). Actual salary will be commensurate with applicable experience, pending approval.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with major work in city planning, architecture, engineering, economics, sociology, public administration or a related field. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Four years of professional (post-bachelor's degree, non-clerical) experience in architecture, engineering, or socio-economic research, including or supplemented by two years of professional work experience in city planning or related planning activities.
Substitution: A Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field from a regionally-accredited college/university may be substituted for two years of architecture, engineering, or socio-economic research experience.
A Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from a regionally-accredited college/university may be substituted for two years of architecture, engineering, or socio-economic research experience and one year of city planning experience.
