SUMMARY: Our maintenance team is looking for a Maintenance Technician II that is reliable and hard-working to be able to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production/facility equipment for the company.

Responsible for all aspects of production equipment and building maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor
Ensures all compliance aspects (Quality, GMP, HACCP and Safety regulations) are known and followed; all required paperwork must be completed
Ensures all production equipment is in continuous operational condition; Responsible to efficiently and effectively changeover, troubleshoot and repair machinery, as well as assist other technicians in that effort when necessary
Recommends modifications to production and process equipment which will extend its usable life, function or to make it safer and more efficient
Sets up and calibrates processing equipment daily to meet specifications
Coordinates with Maintenance Supervisor to complete projects and work orders efficiently
Handles installation of system components, including but not limited to:
Office Equipment
Lighting/heating/ventilation systems
Minor Plumbing maintenance (repair of leaks, unclogging of drains)
Low and High Voltage Electrical systems (under limited supervision)
Handles completion of Preventative Maintenance Program and inspections as scheduled
Communicates and escalates serious equipment issues to Supervisor and Support
Reads and interprets machines and equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and services
Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns
Assists in training new maintenance employees
Performs other work-related duties as assigned
Represents the company brand image and shares aloha to all customers, business partners, and co-workers at all levels throughout the company
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
2 - 4 years maintenance experience in a factory setting
Current/valid Hawaii Drivers License and clean motor vehicle record required
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Self-starter dedicated to continual quality improvement
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work with minimal supervisor
Adhere to safety practices/QA guidelines
Ability to plan and manage projects under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor
Occasionally upgrade skill set to meeting changing job conditions
Able to perform welding works is a plus
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift and use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, carry, and reach
Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, grasping, bending, stooping, and squatting and some repetitive motions
Able to sit, stand and walk throughout an 8 to 10-hour shift. Able to stand for long periods
Able to routinely lift and maneuver at least 40 lbs., and occasionally lift and maneuver up to 60 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision 20 inches or less, (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers. Distance vision of 20 feet or more (not just the ability to see a person or object, but the ability to recognize features as well, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Peripheral vision observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point
Specific hearing abilities include the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., forklifts, packaging, machinery alarms), medical codes or alarms and communication purposes
Wear protective gear (uniform), including gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, hearing protection, hairnets, beard nets, etc.
Inside and outside areas of a typical industrial facility, which includes working with and around large machinery, outside grounds, variations in temperature, sounds (decibles), odors, humidity, dust and elevations. Some areas are often hot with steam from oven and vapor
Able to work flexible hours and overtime as required, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
Travel required
