The Department of Parks and Recreation is looking for a Chemical Treatment Worker I to mix, spray and apply a variety of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and fertilizers to park areas, grasses, shrubbery and trees to maintain healthy vegetation and landscaped areas. As a Chemical Treatment Worker I, your duties and responsibilities will include:Loading chemicals, fertilizers and soil amendments to trucks or fertilizer spreader and assisting in measuring and mixing chemicals (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, liquid fertilizers, etc.)Applying chemicals with various types of equipment such as power sprayers, foggers, soil injectors to turf, trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants, operating a hand fertilizer in areas inaccessible or impractical to fertilize with bulk fertilizer spreader.
