Responsible for scheduling patients for one (1) type of outpatient scheduling, i.e. primary care, specialty care or hospital outpatient departments (HOD). Performs authorization, pre-registration, and insurance verification functions, as assigned. - Provides general and specific information to hospital users, patients, families and physician offices. - Ensures that patients meet financial requirements. - Fosters positive relationships with patients to provide quality service in a pleasant, professional, and timely manner, while being sensitive to guest services. - Communicates effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service.
