We are looking to hire a highly motivated individual, dependable, trustworthy, good customer service and detail-oriented to join Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM). The full-time Utility/Janitorialposition is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the building based on assigned cleaning duties located in Kakaako. Applicant must pass background check. Key responsibilities:

• Use of a pressure wash machine
• Maintain high standard of cleanliness of assigned duties (sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, wipe down areas, and restock cleaning supplies
• Clean cabanas, grills, dog park, porte cochere, sky terrace, parking garage, loading zone, trash room, and carpeting cleaning.
• Check and wipe down furniture and plants
• Empty trash receptacles, wastebaskets, recyclables and properly dispose to designated area.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Multi-task, work efficiently both independently and as a team
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, vendors and property manager
• Follow safety procedures
• Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times
• Report safety issues or building problems (i.e. burnt light bulbs, etc.)
• Notify appropriateHBM employee of the supplies and equipment that are needed for cleaning duties.

Skills/Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Must have good public relations skills and communication
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, stair and climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shifts.

Schedule: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 1pm-9pm

Days off: Monday & Tuesday

Compensation range:$18.25/per hour
