Position Function:

Common Services Architecture (CSA) provides the foundational integration layer of technology platforms, models, services, and resources that interconnect the bank's digital systems and applications. The MuleSoft Integration Developer role brings critical expertise in building, testing, deploying, and maintaining API applications and integration solutions using MuleSoft. This role establishes and sustains a core technical capability for the organization, delivering scalable, secure, and reusable integration assets on MuleSoft's CloudHub infrastructure that enable enterprise agility, reduce delivery timelines, and ensure consistent, high-quality connectivity across systems and business domains.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain reusable APIs, connectors, and integration workflows that interface with core banking systems, payment platforms, third-party applications, enterprise data sources, and shared infrastructure services.
  • Perform data transformation and orchestration using DataWeave to enable seamless interoperability across diverse systems and formats.
  • Implement robust error-handling patterns to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and graceful recovery from integration failures.
  • Apply API security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure data handling protocols, in compliance with enterprise security standards.
  • Conduct peer code reviews and enforce adherence to coding and architectural standards, leveraging automated testing frameworks such as MUnit to ensure quality and maintainability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Systems Analysts, Technical Architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders to validate that integration solutions meet functional, technical, and performance requirements.
  • Manage build and deployment pipelines for MuleSoft applications across development, test, and production environments using CI/CD practices.
  • Analyze and optimize the performance and scalability of MuleSoft applications to meet SLA and throughput requirements.
  • Document integration designs, data mappings, and operational procedures, and contribute to the shared knowledge base for development best practices.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot deployed integrations, performing log analysis, API metric review, and issue resolution in coordination with support teams.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year university or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training required.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or software developer, responsible for delivering production-ready applications in an enterprise environment required.
  • 2+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience required.
License/Certification:
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD) Level 1 Certification required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
  • Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
  • Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
  • Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
