Public entities have difficulty designing, procuring, budgeting, and implementing critical corrections to obsolete, unreliable, and costly infrastructure. SP has a permanent solution to our nation's $4T deferred maintenance crisis with a simple use-based service. With this service, we provide robust new infrastructure and keep it permanently reliable, safe, and performing.

Job Description:
Sustainability Partners is looking for an Infrastructure Project Originator (Executive Level Sales) to join our Hawai‘i team to identify, develop, and close new customer infrastructure projects across the Hawaiian Islands, primarily focusing on Municipalities, Universities, Schools, and Hospitals ("MUSH" market).
This is a unique opportunity for an established and sophisticated individual — ideally with prior experience in government — to join SP and make a positive impact by helping communities replace old, unsafe, deferred maintenance infrastructure with new sustainable assets that will help institutions thrive throughout Hawai‘i.
Compensation is based on results. Successful Originators can earn seven figures in annual compensation.

Responsibilities Include:
- Pursue opportunities for infrastructure investments and developing needs of MUSH market customers across Hawaii especially pertaining to old, failing infrastructure in need of replacement, or relieving infrastructure debt burdens of high-growth communities.
- Understand and identify the complex needs of government institutions, utilize broad understanding of SP's solution, and propose holistic, tailored Infrastructure as a Service solutions.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans to get projects fully approved and executed.
- Build relationships with key leaders to generate and develop ideas, pursue opportunities, and overcome the barriers.
- Proactively help institutions accomplish safe and efficient procurement options.
- Maintain frequent, clear, and ongoing communications between customers and SP.
- Drive infrastructure projects forward with proactive leadership for all involved—from inception to completed installation.
- Coordinate efforts across multi-disciplinary teams at SP to achieve a 'raving fan' view of SP from customers, advisors, consultants, engineers, and politicians.
Qualifications:
- Resides in Hawaii: local cultural fluency required.
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business Administration, Business Management, Engineering, or Marketing (Master's preferred).
- Background in government finance, understanding of procurement, effective with public governance bodies, competency with political environments.
- Strong experience with government leadership including Federal, State, Municipal Government and/or K-12, Higher Education customers.
- Prior experience working directly with government entities is highly beneficial.
- Proven track record of 'making it happen' and navigating complex institutional decision-making environments (e.g., President, CFO, Mayor, Superintendent, City Council, Board of Directors).
- Strong track record of creating new opportunities, problem solving and developing value propositions.
- Experience with financial services, infrastructure and ESCO projects.
- Strong background in crafting, delivering proposals, and speaking in front of groups.
- Highly competitive spirit with smart social and interpersonal intelligence.
- Mastery of procurement structures including bonds, leases, loans, concessions, and services.
- Mastery of value-adds to a project—financial, speed, procurement contract, design, quality, maintenance, balance sheet cost/credit.
- Complete competency with sales and marketing software tools.
- Consistent track record in sales success and performance.
- Computer proficiency.
- A proven 'Rainmaker'.
